The Magical "E" Button - How Not to Get Ebanned For Dummies

Items - those magical things that grants you power and annoy the living hell of the zombie horde. Everyone wants it, but are you good enough to know how to use it?

To be honest, I never used items and never wanted to take items when I am ahead of getting those. But based on my 1-year experience in the server (and get ebanned once), I can safely say there are a few rules you, playing as survivor, MUST REMEMBER before taking them.

 

Rule 1: USE ONLY WHEN THE MAP LEADER ASKS YOU TO.

Fairly straight and simple to understand. The map leaders will get the timing right and calls you to use specific items. Recommend you use your earphones/headsets or volume up to ensure you are paying attention. Also, in some maps, items can only be used once. Use wisely.

 

Rule 2: DO NOT TRIGGER DOOR/GATE WHEN YOU HOLD ITEM.

The safest way to not accidentally use an item is to let other players to trigger the gate while you are holding an item. Trust me, I learnt it the hard way.

 

Rule 3: DO NOT THROW ITEM AWAY. UNLESS YOU ARE TOLD TO.

The second sentence is true if you have played a certain slenderman map. Otherwise you do not, under any circumstances, throw any items like a troll. Big brothers are watching you.

 

Rule 4: DO NOT DOORHUG.

Generally, most items are capable of pushing away/slowing down zombies. Other than heal, you must defend at the frontline but be sure to A) not edge & B) watch out of bhoppers. (come edge. i want exp pls)

 

Last, Rule 5: HELP SAFE THE ITEMS WHEN THE FIRST ITEM HOLDER DIED

Hard maps such as santassasination, obj, frapescape, etc are notorious due to their boss stages. It is not uncommon to see the item holders die in the boss stages. Help the team to get them and if you get it but dont know how to use them, give it to other players (Press "g" usually or check your settings) or listen to the leader when to use it. A good way to learn how to interact with the items is to watch how the first item holders use it. Then replicate how they did.

And one more thing,if those items are pistol, dont drop your pistol or u acttualy want to pick it up ( However there will be a knife a item, dont come close to it if you are human )
