Elemental
Hello there! I am a user who enjoys ZE mode. I wrote this article because I wanted you to play better and more fun. What I felt while playing the server was that there were many beginners who didn't know the ZE itself. They don't seem to know how to play ZE mode, so I'm writing this to make it easier to approach ZE. I hope you gain a lot of things. # WARNING! This content can be subjective. I slightly used a translator to write this. I'm sorry if there's anything weird! ? This article was written in [2022-11-17]. - So, what is ZE? ZE means zombie escape. If you are human, It's literally an escape for zombies[or specifically kill all zombies] If you are zombie, you have to infect [or kill] all humans. - How to play? Basically, humans should run away from zombies and not be infected. If you don't necessarily die from a zombie, but die by an something of object, you also turn into a zombie. Humans can have guns as a defense and push zombies away or even kill them. If humans overcome all odds and survive to the end or get to the last point, they win. On the contrary, zombies win if they infect or kill all humans. - How are humans and zombies determined? It's simple. After few seconds of waiting time after the round begins, it is determined randomly.[at a fixed rate] In addition, If the previous round was mz, the next round doesn't start with mz. [mz means motherzombie, the first zombie to be decided.] - Some tips you should know Keep an eye on the console presented on the map. It gives you useful, necessary information. You can use this to determine how you will behave.ex) 10 seconds before the door opens. -> Defend for about 5 seconds and get back to the door. Listen to the leader and follow what he says. Leaders usually have a general knowledge of maps, so we can easily win. Even if you don't know the map, it will be much easier to play and it will also improve your understanding of the map. If you're human, don't stand still in the back. (Don't doorhug!) It's not very helpful for the team, it's not fun, also it's not very good for your improvement. If you've just entered ze, don't doorhug. I recommend you keep defend with defenders. It's okay to be killed or infected by zombies. That's how you have to learn at first. You need to have this experience to learn how to effectively stop zombies or how to control your distance. If you're a beginner, I recommend the Bizon gun. It's the easiest for beginners to use. Of course, you may have to look at the situation and go doorhug. What I'm talking about is the general defense situation. You can play flexibly depending on the situation. Do not infect people around you immediately after being intentionally infected earlier[or dangerous places that can easily reach zombies]. This behavior can cause trouble to others. ex) Don't edge. You can enter commands in a chat or console. Let me give you some useful commands. !settings - You can modify the overall setting.!hud - The information displayed on the screen. Mainly, item conditions and boss physical strength are indicated. You can also change the display location and color. !guns - At the start of the round, you can set the first guns you receive. !ztele - Return to the first spawn point. !stuck - It can escape when caught by an obstacle. !stopmusic - You can turn music off or on. !music - Volume settings !tp - third person. You can also see a wider view. !he - Get hegrenade. Burn the zombies and give them a small amount of damage. You can buy twice. !de - Get decoy. Makes zombies within the decoy range stop completely for a moment. You can buy twice. !molo - Get molotov. Zombies get sustained damage to the spot where you throw the molotov. You can buy only once. !hide - Hide the people around you. I hope this article helped you. If the response is good, I might write another useful article later. Thank you. Koen
The "Don't Doorhug" advice really depends on the current situation. There are some maps where it is much better to hug the door for newer and lesser skilled players. The leader should always account for newer players and tell them to hug the door if it makes it easier for them to progress. Other than that, not a bad guide as it covers most of the basics. I think so, too. As you said, some maps are better to do doorhug. What I wanted to say is that I mean most common defense maps. To be honest, it is almost impossible to completely eliminate door huggers. But we still have to think about reducing the door huggers number. It's been a long time since I played the server, but there were still too many door huggers for the number of humans on any map. This has an adverse effect on everyone. Door huggers have been occurring continuously for so long that they need to improve their awareness of themselves. 'Ze is not a doorhug mode.' We need to wake them up to why we play defense and why defense is fun. So I wrote to emphasize the importance of defense. I revised the writing because I thought there would be some misunderstanding in the writing. Thank you for your opinion. k0mmand
To add to this, there is a weapon meta in GCG Zombie Escape. Often times SMGs with their high accuracy while moving, high movement speed, quick reload times, and cheap cost make them excellent (e.g. MP9, PP-Bizon, MAC-10). These are often used for general defending of chokepoints in ZE maps, or in backpedaling to the door. When it comes to defenses on tight chokepoints, the Negev is unmatched. They aren't really good for backpedaling since their movement speed is as slow as their reload time, and in this server, you can only buy them 3 times. They can also be used to farm up your economy for use later on. Rifles have strong recoil and move quite slow, but they have great damage and knockback. These are much more viable now with the increase in ammo count for the rifles and SMGs. The M4A1-S is particularly amazing among the rifles because of its low recoil. You can use the AUG too with its scope, but beware that it moves a bit slower than the M4A1-S. The AK-47 has strong damage, but has a lot of recoil, so unless your recoil control is similar to an average Global Elite / Faceit level 10 player, you should just resort to the SMGs or the Negev, or at least the M4A1-S.
